Anthony Way: 

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Anthony has worked extensively as an advisor to a variety of major oil and gas companies worldwide, leading negotiations for a considerable number of gas/LNG sale and purchase agreements in Asia, Europe and Africa.

Anthony has been involved at a senior level in contractual negotiations and as part of this, he has frequently advised on Agreements for LNG sale and purchase, including LNG Terminal Agreements. He has advised on commercial matters concerning the import of LNG into Singapore’s recent Terminal.

Anthony also acts as an Expert Witness in international disputes in the gas industry, principally in the area of gas pricing, where he has experience in over 60 cases in International Arbitration.

Tushar Poddar: 

Tushar has more than 35 years’ experience in offshore/onshore Oil, Gas and LNG industries. His main focus has been on Engineering, EPCIC Project Management, Business Development, O&M Support and training of professionals. Tushar has worked with many companies likes of Bechtel, Shell, Foster Wheeler and Sembcorp and successfully completed many complex and mega projects. His professional career is accomplished through various roles in the past that include Process Head, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Chief Risk Officer, Safety Leader, General Manager, and Project Director for many offshore/onshore oil and gas and LNG projects.

He has published and presented several technical papers in National and International Conferences including OTC. He is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, member of OTC conference committee and Gastech committee. Tushar would be offering some industry focused and critical technical courses on oil, gas & LNG, for and on behalf of Energise Futures. He will also cover, in future, the application of digital technology in stipulated sectors that enhance the productivity, efficiency and reduce hazard/accident in Asset Management.

Dilip Patel:

Dilip brings 38 years of experience in the gas and LNG industry with diversity in onshore, offshore, gas and liquid transmission, LNG import terminals, peak shaver and liquefaction plants in many parts of the world.

He has worked on many gas and LNG projects at various phases from feasibility studies, FEED, EPC and operational phases for both owners and major EPC contractor as Engineering Manager, Project Manager and Consultant in the UK and many parts of the world.

He has worked for Singapore LNG, Dragon LNG (BG), M W Kellogg (KBR), Mobil Oil, The Oil & Pipeline Agency (MoD) and British Gas.

Whilst at Singapore LNG Terminal he and his team significantly contributed in winning the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Awards 2014,  IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award for 2014 and the I. Chem. E. (2013, Singapore) award for the development of world class safety case and process safety management system for the terminal. He played a significant role in achieving these prestigious awards by ensuring that the LNG Terminal is provided with the very best engineering and process safety systems.

He holds a First Class with Distinction Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered Chartered Engineer in the UK and India

Stephen Stout:

Stephen is based in London, but he has spent a large part of his business career in Asia, working in digital media, events and early stage investments.

Most recently, he was Chairman of the Asia Risk Centre, a Non-Executive Director of DMG Events and CEO of DMG Information Asia Pacific Pte Ltd responsible for all DMGT companies and investments in APAC. Earlier in his career, Stephen was CEO of the Landmark information Group and worked for RELX plc ltd and was respectively CEO for Lexis Nexis in Asia, Australia and the UK.

Currently, Stephen is a Director of DNi Technologies Pty Ltd and holds several Non-Executive and Advisory positions with companies in Asia Pacific and the UK.

David Morris:

David Morris has been an involved in the LNG industry for the last 10 years following periods of his career spent trading natural gas, power and coal in Europe and also developing IPPs in Asia.

David successfully led the E.ON project team that acquired E.ON’s first re-gasification capacity at Grain LNG which kick-started their LNG activities.  Following this, David successfully set up, developed and then managed E.ON’s LNG trading team, acting as the key driver behind E.ON’s move into buying FOB cargoes and transacting the LNG world’s first commercial re-load into Asia.  His final spell with E.ON / Uniper was based out in Singapore, where over a three year period David helped set up the office structure and subsequently spent his time opening doors for E.ON and subsequently Uniper in Asia, specialising in LNG origination and wider LNG-to-power business development in the region.

Graham Holland:

Graham has over 40 years industry experience in the feasibility assessment, development and implementation of international Gas / LNG infrastructure projects.

Graham worked with CLP Power (Hong Kong) Limited where he led the development of the Hong Kong Offshore LNG import terminal project securing the issue of its Environmental Permit and Government approval to proceed with project implementation.

He also played a lead role in the Singapore LNG Corporation on the implementation of Singapore’s 1st LNG import terminal being responsible for the company’s business planning, strategy, and risk management activities, EPC contract management and the procurement of goods & services to support LNG terminal O&M activities.

His experience includes the negotiation and closure of the various Gas / LNG Sales & Purchase, Terminal Use, Time Charters, Pipeline Transportation and Joint Venture commercial agreements that are necessary to underpin capital investments in liquefaction, regasification and pipeline projects.  His experience also includes the tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award of multi-million dollar EPC Contracts for major infrastructure facilities.

Earlier in his career, Graham worked with Shell Gas & Power in Singapore and British Gas Global where he worked on similar projects in Chile, Argentina and Turkey.  Graham also has international EPC Contracting experience with AMEC Process and Energy.

James Brown:

James has over two decades of operations, engineering, asset management and consulting experience with the likes of BG, National Grid, BHP Billiton, Lubrizol DNVGL, Penspen and Accenture based out of UK, Singapore and Malaysia.

James has hands-on experience operating gas networks and an LNG facility in the UK. He has supported IOCs, NOCs, EPCs and shipyards with numerous LNG projects including developing an award-winning safety case and emergency response plans for Singapore LNG.

His strengths are in; Operations, techno-commercial feasibility, integrity and risk management across the LNG value chain. James has delivered on nine onshore liquefaction plants, three onshore import terminals, two FSRUs, three FLNGs, two LNG bunkering stations, the world’s first LNG ready container ship as well as the world’s first LNG fuelled crane vessel.

James has already delivered numerous LNG training courses, provided papers at conferences and written expert articles for major industry magazines. He will continue to do this in an advisory capacity for Energise Futures and for his own consultancy company Savitas Consulting.

Mat Alexander Parentich:

Mat brings a wealth of experience to our Advisory Board, having worked in Australia, Germany, Pakistan, Singapore, UK and USA for the likes of Global Energy Infrastructure, Apache LNG, Woodside Energy and Westfarmers. His expertise cover a broad range of the following:

Upstream & downstream energy business marketing & development for major oil companies having had experience in Perth, Singapore and Houston with twelve years’ experience culminating in the role of Regional Director of LNG in the Asia Pacific region (APAC):

  1. expert in cross-cultural negotiation skills with an extensive energy industry intelligence network.
  2. analysis-based & value-driven, deal-making style with a proven ability to close within set time-frames.
  3. highly developed team leadership, communication and outcome influencing skills-set.

Extensive LNG marketing and trading experience via hands-on experience through to management and then oversight of all aspects on LNG marketing and trading, including negotiation strategy, team leadership, origination & trading, full spectrum of commercial operations, including CTRM. Deep expertise in leading LNG RFP/tenders within the APAC and the most recently, the Middle East.

Broad-ranging LNG contract management expertise via the detailed understanding of various standards of contractual terms & conditions. Development of automated systems to manage contract implementation and operations for both brownfield and green-field projects for multi-national sellers.

Strong risk identification and management credentials via having developed an expert understanding of multi-staged approvals processes of the Majors. Profound understanding of energy economics (& sensitivities) and risk accountability for up & down-stream oil & gas development projects.

Highly developed oil & gas exploration & production (E&P) commercial expertise having developed expert level commercial advisory, economic modelling, business analysis & decision assurance with exposure to both US and Australian oil & gas industries

Tim Rockell: Founder, Growth, Energy Specialist. Energy Strat Asia Pte. Ltd.

Tim has worked at KPMG for 21 years. The past six years in Singapore as Director of the KPMG Global Energy Institute. Roles include Director of KPMG’s Markets department in the Middle East and South Asia region. He was based London until 2005, then Saudi Arabia until 2012. He is a sales and marketing professional, member of the UK Chartered Institute of marketing and holds an executive MBA from ENPC Paris, France. He drives relationships with national and international companies, governmental organisations and has extensive experience of middle and far east markets. He is a Board Member of the Energy Studies Institute at the National University of Singapore and Chairman of the Energy & Utilities Business Group at the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore.
